Skin treatments before your wedding in Seoul: what to get, and how many weeks before
Quick answer: Count backwards from the wedding date. Ultherapy and Thermage, which take time to show, go 6 weeks before. Filler and botox, which need swelling to settle and the effect to finish, go 2 to 3 weeks before. Laser toning and skin boosters, with quick recovery, go 1 to 2 weeks before. Inside the final week, nothing you have never had before.
In what order should you book treatments before a wedding?
Longest recovery first, shortest last. The table below is the baseline. If a photo shoot comes before the wedding, treat the shoot as day zero and count back from it the same way.
| Treatment | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Ultherapy · Thermage FLX (lifting) | 6 weeks before | The effect builds over 2 to 3 months, and early swelling and redness need time to settle |
| Scar treatment | 5 to 7 weeks before | 5 to 7 days of recovery, plus time for skin texture to even out |
| Wrinkle botox · filler | 2 to 3 weeks before | Botox is complete at 2 weeks; filler swelling at the injection site settles |
| Laser toning | 1 to 2 weeks before | Short downtime, used to even out tone |
| Rejuran · skin boosters | 1 to 2 weeks before | Glow comes through once the 1 to 3 days of small raised bumps have gone down |
| Anything new | Not in the final week | Skin reactions cannot be predicted |
So what if the shoot is months before the wedding? Lifting goes 6 weeks before the shoot, and botox 2 to 3 weeks before it. If the shoot and the wedding are 4 to 6 months apart, the botox will be wearing off by the wedding, so a second round goes in 2 to 3 weeks before the ceremony.
Flying to Seoul for this? The countdown does not change, it just decides when you land. Lifting 6 weeks out and botox or boosters 1 to 3 weeks out usually means either two trips or one earlier trip for the lifting alone. After Thermage, flying home the next day is fine.
Why Ultherapy and Thermage 6 weeks before?
Because with both, the result appears weeks after the treatment day. Ultherapy uses ultrasound to lift at the SMAS layer, and the effect builds gradually over 2 to 3 months. Thermage FLX heats the dermis with radiofrequency, tightens a little immediately, and then collagen fills in over 2 to 6 months. Six weeks out, the early effect is showing on the day, and the redness or tenderness right after treatment has usually settled.
Honestly, if someone comes in two weeks before the wedding asking for lifting for the first time, I talk them out of it. The effect will not have shown yet, and in the rare case that swelling lingers, there is no time to deal with it. At that point, toning and skin boosters to even out tone and add glow look far better in photos.
How many weeks before the wedding should you get botox and filler?
Wrinkle botox: 2 to 3 weeks before. It starts working at 3 to 7 days, is complete at 2 weeks and lasts 3 to 6 months, so 2 to 3 weeks out gives the most natural look on the day. Jaw botox is different. It takes 4 to 6 weeks before you notice it, so for a slimmer jawline, have it at least 6 weeks before, and 8 weeks to be comfortable.
Filler is also 2 to 3 weeks before. Swelling and bruising at the injection site can last a few days, and the filler takes 1 to 2 weeks to settle into the tissue and look natural. If you are planning both, botox first and filler 7 to 14 days later is the steadier order; if time is short, the same day is possible.
What should you avoid in the week before the wedding?
Anything you have not had before. Stick to what your skin knows. One rule for this week: add nothing new.
- Rejuran and skin boosters: small raised bumps at injection points for 1 to 3 days; thin skin can bruise for a few days longer
- Filler: swelling and bruising for 3 to 5 days, up to a week depending on the area
- Botox: injection marks the same day, occasionally a small bruise
- Ultherapy and Thermage: redness from the same day to a few days, tenderness for a few weeks
- Scar treatment: scabbing and redness for 5 to 7 days or longer
The one brides miss most often is filler three days before. The swelling shows in the photos. If it is that tight, leave it out.
When can you exercise, use a sauna or drink after treatment?
On the day of any treatment, skip exercise, saunas and alcohol. After that, it depends on the treatment.
- Botox: no rubbing or lying down for 4 hours, no sauna or exercise that day, then normal life
- Thermage FLX: work or a flight the next day is fine; avoid saunas and alcohol for a week
- Ultherapy: back to normal the next day; avoid strong heat for a few days
- Filler: no pressure or massage on the area for 1 to 2 weeks; hold off on alcohol for a few days
- Toning and skin boosters: light exercise from the next day; sunscreen is a must
Plenty of people cannot drop their workouts before a wedding. Tell us, and the order of treatments is adjusted around your training.
How much do pre-wedding skin treatments cost?
Prices are from Repic Gangnam's September 2026 price list and exclude 10% VAT, which is added at payment. The same prices apply to Korean and international patients; the tax-refund scheme for cosmetic procedures is no longer available in Korea. The final figure depends on area and dose, and an exact quote follows diagnosis. Three reference points for planning:
- Ultherapy, 300 shots: KRW 990,000
- Thermage FLX, face, 600 shots: KRW 2,300,000
- Wrinkle botox, 3 areas: from KRW 54,000 (domestic toxin; varies by brand)
Toning, Rejuran, filler and everything else is on the price list. The consultation fee is deducted in full if you go ahead the same day.
How we plan it at Repic
At the first visit we start with the shoot date and the wedding date. Mark-Vu photographs the skin to measure pigment, pores, redness, oil and hydration, Meta-Vu records contour and volume, and the doctor examines firmness in person; together that separates what you need now from what you can skip. Someone with good firmness but uneven tone, for example, gets toning and skin boosters only, with no lifting. If sagging shows, lifting goes into the 6-week slot. The doctor performs the treatments and sets your home care for the weeks until the wedding. Partners can have a schedule planned the same way, and consultations can be held in English.

Frequently asked questions
How many weeks before my wedding should I get Ultherapy?
- Six weeks is the baseline. Ultherapy lifts at the SMAS layer with ultrasound, so the effect builds gradually over 2 to 3 months, and the redness and tenderness right after treatment need time to fade. Six weeks out, the early effect shows on the day and the treatment reaction has usually settled. At Repic Clinic in Gangnam, Ultherapy 300 shots is KRW 990,000 (VAT excluded).
When should I get botox before a wedding photo shoot?
- Two to three weeks before the shoot. Wrinkle botox starts working at 3 to 7 days and is complete at 2 weeks, so that is when it looks most natural. Jaw botox takes 4 to 6 weeks to notice, so have it at least 6 weeks ahead. If the shoot and wedding are 4 to 6 months apart, Repic Clinic in Gangnam plans a second round 2 to 3 weeks before the ceremony.
Can I get a facial the day before my wedding?
- Nothing you have not had before. The rule is no new treatments in the final week, and the day before, only familiar hydrating or calming care. Exfoliation, new skincare products and injections can all leave redness or swelling that shows in photos. Repic Clinic in Gangnam plans the last week around home care only.
Can I get both Thermage and Ultherapy before my wedding?
- Yes. Thermage works on firmness in the dermis and Ultherapy on sagging at the SMAS layer, so they complement each other and the order does not matter. Both need to be done 6 weeks before the wedding, so start consulting at least two months ahead. Repic Clinic in Gangnam uses Meta-Vu and Mark-Vu diagnosis to check whether you need both or one is enough.
My wedding is in 3 weeks. What treatments can I still get?
- Some. With 3 weeks left, wrinkle botox and filler still work, and from 2 weeks out, laser toning, Rejuran and skin boosters can even out tone and add glow. Lifting and scar treatment are not recommended at this point. Repic Clinic in Gangnam picks only what fits the remaining time, in order, and adds nothing new in the final week.
How long does filler swelling last before a wedding?
- Swelling and bruising usually last 3 to 5 days, up to about a week depending on the area. Filler takes 1 to 2 weeks to settle into the tissue and look natural, so 2 to 3 weeks before the wedding is the safe window. Repic Clinic in Gangnam does not recommend filler three days before, because swelling can show in photos. Avoid pressing or massaging the area for 1 to 2 weeks.
